My belief is simple. We are not alone in the vast universe. It's just ridiculous to think that we are.

We have simpletons that can be fooled with the, "Oh look! A squirrel!" routine and fall for it every single time.

I also believe and wouldn't put it past any government to acquire by whatever means necessary any technology they could to turn a profit or laud it over someone's head.
