14–15 months ago when I started on the platform I self-published the first two pieces just because I was still trying to learn my way around. After the second piece, The Ascent sent me a PN and wanted to add me on as a writer. I said sure as I still had no clue what had what for what.

Over time I’ve asked to be added as a writer and then removed myself. I don’t think I’m with any of the pubs that I started out with. At this point with pushing up on 1.2k followers, I just don’t see the point.

I will submit to Fuck Niches which is Jason Presley’s publication. I want to send something to Boomerangs hopefully this week. Only because I know I can trust those two pubs to not hack my work and to have a quick turnaround time. They have followers that I don’t have not in numbers but in name. So I get eyes I wouldn’t normally have to see my work.

Short of that, I’ll be self-publishing whether it be to my profile page or one of my own publications.
