Binge-watching Paramount+
1883
We’re off to a slow start….
Twice in about 30 minutes. Gotta love it.
Someone turned me on to Yellowstone earlier this year. The earlier seasons were better. The storyline gets worse with each passing year.
But then I found out about 1883 and 1923 both of which are on Paramount+. I signed up for the 7-day free trial which is more than enough time as there are only maybe 8 episodes of each show.
1883 and 1923 I have taken to be a sort of prequel to Yellowstone.
S1, Ep1 got off to such a slow start that I hit the FF button a few times. As a professional writer, I understand the need for everything from character development to letting the story play out. But geeze Louise.
Some Takeaways From 1883
Women’s hair. It was as expected as far as styles were concerned. What wasn't expected was hairy armpits but manicured eyebrows. I had never really thought about it before but it makes sense. At least the armpit part does. Hygiene wasn't then what it is now. But the eyebrows?
The hairy pits got me to thinking that there should have been a lot of unibrows that looked like shrubs going on but there weren’t.
