6 “free” Text-to-speech Apps

I decided to pop into YouTube to see what was up. I’m bored. I’m tired. But I feel the need to be productive. Apparently I haven’t learned my lesson about pushing myself. Oh well. There’s always tomorrow.

I happened upon this video and that’s how I ended up down today’s rabbit hole.

I used the small paragraph of text from above as the test. It has one female, US voice option. And surprise, surprise. It sucks. “She” sounds just like a computer. Sorry ZiraRus. You didn’t get the job.

At the bottom of the TTSFree piece were five other suggestions. Too bad they didn’t provide links. Thank you, Google.
