And in that endless sea of scrolling through writers names how many are actually actively publishing there? I've had publications in the past where people asked to be added and then never submitted. I removed them as a writer. If you aren't submitting then you aren't listed.

It's a cleaner and clearer picture of what the publication's true status is. But I don't know of any publisher on Medium that does this.
