As an author I tried Goodreads for a month or so and then deleted my account. It was clunky and amateurish looking. The search engine was useless and don't even get me started about the Notifications. I would login once a day and have a billion notifications. Some "threads" were about explicit sex and that's it. What that has to do with marketing and readership I couldn't say.

It was a TOTAL waste of time.
