In a lot of sex scandals involving elected officials, the damage is restricted to a political leader’s profession. The detraction is fodder for a political opponent to use in the next political election. Some voters might want to forgive infidelity, but others see it as an indicator that the politicians are unreliable, morally unsound, or very simply sleazy.

William Preston Taulbee is a government political leader that ended up fulfilling his end because of a sex rumor. It is unusual because he did not die by a jilted enthusiast, cuckolded husband, or an upset other half. Rather, he was assassinated by a reporter who had actually been consistently bugging Taulbee for his coverage of the rumor.

Taulbee was born on October 22, 1851, near Mount Sterling in Morgan Area, a hilly area of eastern Kentucky. He attended the common schools and also was coached by his dad, who later on served in the state’s general assembly. In his young people, Taulbee additionally aided run the household ranch.
