Craigslist? Craigslist? Yes, Craigslist! However, you have to know how to search. This is key.

“Don’t I just go to my state and town and search?”

Nope! This is what nearly everyone does and why nearly everyone, unless you’re in NYC, LA, or Chicago, can never find any actual work.

First, you go to Google. Type in what you see below. As in “site: craigslist”.

Then type into the newest search bar any keyword that will locate the type of job you’re looking for. Such as copy editor, writer, writing, content writing, etc. Then click on the spyglass to search.

Now you see every single writing job there is that’s posted currently on Craigslist! As long as the jobs are ‘remote’ oriented, it won’t matter which city or state you search in.

As always, this is Craigslist. So you will see shams and scams as always. Plus the same posts over and over and over again. Every so often you find that one diamond you’re looking for.

I happened across a couple of ads that I shot emails to. One guy just needed help to format his book for publication. I don’t even recall what the second one was. So get your metal detector out and walk that beach known as CL.

Happy hunting!

PS — if you have a resume or CV, it couldn’t hurt to post it on CL while you’re there already!

I do the legwork so you don’t have to!
