Depending on the publication.

…I have seen of Medium so far — I like the fact that pieces of any length can be published, and that they appear instantly. I also like the ability to comment on other pieces and receive comments from other members.
Can somebody please explain what “Publications” are all about? (And a few other questions!)

Depending on the publication. I've heard of some taking days or even weeks to get published or rejected.
