Going back to the traffic cop analogy, they don't pull over everyone. Just the offenders. They get warnings or tickets depending up a variety of factors including how bad was this offense and do they have a list of priors.

The ones who end up on Cali news at 5 with 10 cop cars in tow, reds and blues flashing, sirens going, are the worst of the worst and more often than not repeat offenders.

Now apply that to the variety of asshats in your life.

Is it the same person with the same shit over and over and over again? Do they have mental or emotional limitations that cause them to act out? Then avoid them like the plaque. Can't be avoided? Pull them aside, write them a warning ticket, and then move on.

Are they speeding, have had a litany of warnings and tickets and still haven't learned their lesson? Slap the handcuffs on. Put them in check and while you can be calm about it put some bite in it with your word choice. Let them know you mean business and that there is NO negotiations to be had.

You got this, my friend. If not establish an alibi and give me a call. LOL
