I asked the "Help Desk" years ago about their stance on AI-generated posts. They didn't even bother to tell me that they didn't have one. 100% radio silence. Now that it's 3-4 years old, the topic that is, NOW they want to come up with a policy.

When I functioned as an editor for 5 large pubs on here there was an incident where someone copied an entire Wikipedia article and submitted it. When he was told you can't do that his response was that he didn't know that.

If people who call themselves writers 'don't know they aren't supposed to plagiarize there is no hope of any self-governing of AI-generated content.
