I can't speak on behalf of all 65 editors but as for me, I edit like an auditor for the IRS.

Typically, we never full on outright reject a piece unless it has been plagiarized. Now, you will get kicked out of queue if you have multiple issues with your piece. But you will be told what the issues are and how to correct them.

Once you've made all the corrections you can then resubmit. We just can't have the queues backing up as we wait for writers to respond and make corrections.
