I do too but I prefer it that way. At least half of my days are busy. Today it was a pain mgmt new patient appointment that led to a lumbar x-ray. After? Mani & pedi.

Yesterday it was have a screw taken out of a tire. Then buying a filing cabinet. Then to Staples for the tuff to go in the cabinet. Then a wax. Then a pit stop at Tiger Mart for a 6-pack LOL

Monday I can't even remember! Nor the weekend. But the week prior? I was in the next town over Mon, Wed, Fri. Eyes, donations, hematology, ortho.

It's always something. As it is the filing cabinet is still out in the Jeep. By the time i get done running around I'm too tired to lug the sucker in here!

Are there any community projects that you can get involved in? Places to volunteer? I used to volunteer at the USO at Dover Air Force Base. I can't sit or stand for very long now so I had to give that up. What I d instead is this. A local hospital has a Foundation. I've made contact wtih them. From there I've gotten Wish Lists. Then I go shopping.

My ortho doc's office needed 2 walkers, 2 quad canes, and a wheel chair. DONE. Then the staff picnic table had rotted out. Ordered one to be delivered from Home Depot. When I saw how raw the wood was I went out one weekend and put a redwood stain on it.

I got a Wish List from the hospital chaplin. Now she has coloring books, tracing paper, puzzles (book and not), coloring books, colored pencils, crayons, etc. for hospitalized kids and seniors.

I used my Chicken Soup money for some of it. The stuff for the chaplin I bought at Dollar Tree and Dollar General so none of it cost a ton of money.

Currently, I'm researching the possibility of pitching an idea to the same hospital. It involves me exchanging emails with Indian Affairs in DC for starters. There's ALWAYS something to be done somewhere. :)
