I don’t ever want to have to do that again

A cerebrovascular accident is a technical term for what you and I call a stroke. If you take a look at the definition of a CVA below:

In medicine, a loss of blood flow to part of the brain, which damages brain tissue. CVAs are caused by blood clots and broken blood vessels in the brain. Symptoms include dizziness, numbness, weakness on one side of the body, and problems with talking, writing, or understanding language. (Emphasis by me)

I was having issues with my vision for a few days. I couldn’t figure out why my vision was so blurry. It hadn’t even been a year since my last eye exam. I needed some new lenses but my vision hadn’t changed all that much since the last time I was at the ophthalmologist.

Then I noticed I was tripping over my feet. I would sometimes tilt to the right and have to put a hand out on a wall or grab a piece of furniture to keep from tipping over. Then it was the sudden, out-of-the-ordinary head pain that I noticed. Mine were at the base of my skull first on the right and then the left. I recognized the symptoms having worked in healthcare and having greeted dad one morning with the same symptoms.

Couple that with the hospitalization in May for bilateral DVTs and PEs I thought it…
