I had to medically retire at 55 thanks to all of my various medical issues. Being able to write on Medium with no deadlines has been a godsend.

I write when I can. Edit when I can for others. And the rest of the time is downtime or doctors' appointments. All jobs should be like this but I realize it isn't always feasible.
