I Just do NOT Feel Like Doing Much of Anything Today

Frankly, I just don’t feel like doing a single thing. Thank God breathing is automatic or I’d suffocate. I get up. Do a little bit around here. Then lay back down. Queue up a YouTube video (I’ve been binge-watching royals from history) and before I know it I’m drooling on my pillow.

Then I get up and do it all over again.

The days have been beginning with me jumping in the Jeep and driving over to the storage unit at about 5 in the morning, getting a load, and coming back. With one side detour of hitting the golden arch drive-through for my daily rendezvous with my drug dealer. I don’t know what I’d do if they stopped selling mocha frappes.

I pull up out front and unload some into the vestibule. When that starts to fill up I swipe my passcard and the inner doors pop open. Then I quickly get everything out of the vestibule and into the lobby. Then I do it all over again until the car is empty. I park Hoss and then it’s schlepping everything from the lobby to my apartment.

Thank God once again that I’m on the first floor and the first door down the hall once you’re inside. It’s exhausting just writing that let alone doing it. I guess I should cut myself a break. I mean I did just have a stroke. Most people would be on the beach working on their tan and relaxing. That wouldn’t happen around here stroke or no stroke.

I live in a resort area and right now it’s Tourist Central. That and the heat and the humidity are why I roll out in the wee hours before the roads are congested and the heat is up. Even then yesterday morning was awful. By the time I had made the round trip the fog had rolled in and brought the humidity with it. It was so oppressive out I couldn’t even finish unloading.

I pulled up out front this morning and brought the last of it in and then went and got the next load. But before I could get that one done I was huffing and puffing like the family dog left in a hot car. So the four things in the passenger seat will wait until tomorrow morning.

My best guess is I’ll be done emptying out the storage unit by Wednesday. I have been to Wally World and gotten some food in here. I plan on placing a big order and having it delivered. There is no way I can carry a case of water by…
