I think more people should be less snobby and seriously consider a trade. Those skills are still in demand but not enough people are heading down that path. They want the IG life of living in a van and typing from a hammock in Costa Rica. Life ain't like that.

And with the amount of money tradespeople make, if one lives below one's means, you could actually retire early. Businesses in trades are oftentimes handed down through the generations. You can't do that with a desk job.
