I was drugged by a "friend" and gang raped for hours back in the 80s. All perpetrators were black even my so called friend.

In the 90s I was living with a guy who happened to be black in a mostly black neighborhood in Maryland outside DC. I had to make a 911 domestic call. A black officer showed up. He asked the perpetrator if my name was on the lease. When he was told that it was, he told the abuser "that was your first mistake".

I can go on with more examples but you get it. If whites do shitty things to blacks just because they are black, we're racists. When the roles are reversed?

Radio silence.

I've even commented on some articles on predominately black publications here on Medium and zip. Nothing. Nada.

As a white person you're not allowed to hold up a mirror and tell them to take a look. Thank you for writing this piece. I'm sorry this happened to you.
