I went to a health fare where they were they had specialists versed in all of the ins and outs of the Medicare system. They had me put in an application and sent me on my way. This was back in Nov. Apparently, there is a Nov and a Dec 7 deadline for people that already have Medicare to make changes. From Dec 8 to Dec 31 is when they squeeze in the newbies.
They sent me to an insurance agent. I sent her my meds, providers, etc. She researched all the plans available and this one was (supposedly) the best fit for me in my area. The problem is that even though we all live one on top of the other out here, we’re still pretty rural comparatively speaking. So finding a doc is hard; finding a doc taking new patients is harder; finding a doc taking new patients that accepts your insurance?
A Christmas miracle!
