I wouldn't call it rude. I'm from the mid-Atlantic region of the US. It's just how we speak. We're decisive and we lay it out in black and white. The mid-Atlantic region runs from DC to NY. Think about the speed and power in that corridor. That's what I'm used to.

I've been a cop. I've done disaster assistance. I lived though 9/11, anthrax, and the DC Sniper. You can't hold those kinds of jobs and pat kitties and make them purr. There's work to be done and I did it.

Safe spaces, puppies, coloring books, etc are for the social workers.
