I wouldn't cry if all publications were done away with. There are too many "publishers" who don't know the first thing about Medium's requirements let alone more indepth issues like copyright law.

I had to take a standardized English test to post a gig on Fiverr. I don't know why Medium can't have the same requirements for writers, editors, and publishers when there is so much more at stake here.
