You plagiarists don’t stand a chance.

I wish I could tell you how many plagiarists I’ve reported to Medium. Yes, Medium. I don’t try to remove them from Illumination or the three other Illumination family publications that I’m an editor for. I no longer click the three little dots and click, Report this author.

Now, I go straight to the top.

I create a Help Desk ticket.
I screenshot your bullsh*t.
I give them the screenshot, your Medium ID, and a description of the offenses.

Within 24-hours I have an email that states they have yanked your account out from under you. When I click the original link of yours that I sent to them, I end up seeing something like this.

I work the queues and sniff you out. When my bullsh*t detector goes off, I have a senior editor do a deep dive. It’s her specialty. She comes back with the proof and documentation of your cheating, and yes, it’s cheating. And then I move that information along to Medium where they drop the hammer on your head.

Why is it cheating?
Because YOU didn’t write it but you’re trying to pass it off as your own work. I don’t know how dim your bulb has to be to get you liars and cheaters and no talent low lifes to be able to wrap your bean around the fact that you will be caught. It may not be the first time or even the second time.

BUT YOU WILL BE CAUGHT.

Oh, and as of today? I’ve started skimming your profile to see where else you’ve been published and I tip of those publishers too.

So keep on keeping on. We even find those of you who have already been banned from Medium and come back under a new name and a stock photo. You make being an editor fun!

So keep “hiding” in plain sight.
