I'm prepared more than most but not as much as I should be. There is a husband and wife team on YouTube. They are both in the army. He's a doctor and she's a nurse. They've written a few books or which I have two.

A lot of it is what we used to call common sense back in the day. If you grew up on a farm in a part of the US that had four seasons, these were just things you always did because they needed to be done. Like flashlights and batteries and generators and extra canned goods and having your own garden while knowing how to freeze/can/preserve what you grew, etc.
