I'm wondering if some former Medium top guru just finished up a class recently on how to make X dollars in writing. Because in the last week or so there has been a spike in submissions like, "How To Make $10,000 a Month Writing". And they're being submitted by people with new accounts and single digit followers.

As an editor I vet them and ask for links, references, etc. and of course they never have any but insist that it can be done.

Naturally, they don't get published.
