It isn't just Medium. I had 3500 followers on Twitter before I closed it down the last time. Why did I close it? No engagement. It didn't matter how much I commented, liked, retweeted or tweeted. Dead in the water.

Facebook. Same thing. Lots of followers. No engagement. I don't get the whole thought process, if there is one, of following people that you aren't going to communicate with. It's not my style.
