This is irresponsible writing on all levels.

Just because it was YOUR experience doesn't mean that it's everyone's experience. Their job is to assess the situation and then how to decide it after that. Some people have had too much to drink and get depressed. Unless you're drinking and driving, no one is going to lock you up.

There is a checklist for the call centers as well as first responders. The #1 box that has to be checked is if you are a danger to yourself or others. If the answer is no, then you're not going anywhere.
