I’ve been on here for 14-months or so. I started at the end of May 2020 and earned .44 cents. It’s been almost straight up ever since. Things tend to drop off around the holidays so this year I’m ready for it. I’ll make sure I have enough drafts set up ahead of time that I can take Thanksgiving to Christmas off and chill like everybody else.

I write. A lot. Already today I’ve published 2 pieces and am contemplating a 3rd. This is work and that’s where writers go wrong, at least on this platform. If this were a 9–5 job you wouldn’t be able to just show up and expect a paycheck at the end of the week.

This is no different.

You have to show up AND you have to do the work. Part of the work also includes engaging with other writers. It means taking the writer's hat off and putting the reader's hat on. Highlight, clap, comment, follow but do it all SINCERELY. Almost anyone can tell when you’re doing it in hopes of return engagement.
