Listverse
Listverse is yet another platform where you can make a few bucks doing what you live for — writing. They are looking for just what you would suspect given their name. Lists. So all of you listicle aficionados listen up and pay attention.
From their site here are some examples in case well you know you’ve been under a rock for at least the last year.
*10 Ordinary Moms Who Changed The World
*10 Shockingly Simple Things That Save Lives
*10 Iconic Americans Who Aren’t American
*10 Memes and Trends That Are Secretly Centuries Old
*10 Baffling Scientific Mysteries of Everyday Things
*10 Gruesome Fairy Tale Origins
Other than these being lists, do you see what else they have in common? They are all lists of ten. Yes, ten is the golden and magical number for them. The rest is pretty much standard. Perfect English. Cited sources. Now here’s a doozy — something that has not already been covered or on the internet. Good luck with that one!
They “almost never publish lists on sports, technology, or self-help/advice.” No images. No videos. Adult content is permitted so long as it doesn’t list anything illegal. No content farming. Naturally, no plagiarism. You can submit once per day. Profanity is only allowed if it is part of a direct quote. Seems like the perfect time to do a listicle for politicians and celebrities that love to curse!
They pay $100 per accepted submission. I haven’t decided if I want to try this one out yet or not. If you have, please comment and let me know how your experience on that platform went for you.
I do the legwork so you don’t have to!
