Medium functions the same way as YouTube, Twitter, etc. function. The more you click on something the more their going to feed it to you because they think that's what you want to see.

For the next little bit, don't just click on titles. Click on the author instead. Cruise their profile BEFORE You decide you want to read anything written by them. That should help. Find more writers that you do like, and read several of their pieces. See who they follow and read those writers. It's basically doing a reset of your algorithm.
