My gut reaction is that he’s open to more. I think the demands of his job are what’s keeping him from trying. That may be why he’s divorced and his last GF didn’t last. Not all women can handle guys being gone more than they’re home. I grew up in a military family so to me it’s no big deal.

It’s like, yeah I love you and I’ll miss you but I’ll still be here when you get back. Ya know?
