How did I do it? I wrote my a$$ off, that’s how. And I actively took part in the newly relational aspect of the platform.

I’ve written and had published over 500 articles in a year. I’ve commented on and/or replied to comments 2172 in that same year. In June alone I wrote 70 articles.

Being paid to be a writer is work. You can’t show up at a 9–5 and warm the chair in your assigned cubicle. You actually have to earn your pay. Writing is no different. The only “problem” with being an entrepreneur is that there is no boss telling you to get your a$$ to work.

If you have discipline, you’re going to succeed. If you’re lazy, you won’t.

I am more or less bedridden thanks to a variety of disabilities.

I am my father’s caretaker.

So no, I don’t spend every waking moment online let alone on this platform. And yet, look at what I have managed to accomplish.

My goal is to hit 1000 authentic followers before the end of the year. Preferably before the end of the summer. I write as much as I can, when I can. The rest of the time I create drafts or finish drafts I’ve already started so that I have some to submit and publish the following week.

Stop making excuses and get to work.

I’ll see you all in the 1% Club.
