Pick Just One Happy Place?!

Choose a happy place. That’s like choosing a favorite child. How does one go about that? My happy place once upon a time was walking the empty Pensacola Beach in Florida early in the morning and watching the dolphin swim.
A different once upon a time was watching kids tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas at a local mall in D.C.
Walking through Arlington National Cemetery and being filled with happiness, love, joy, and reverence because if it hadn’t been for them, none of us would be here to have a happy place.
But my newest happy place believe it or not was when I walked into a local Walmart yesterday here on the eastern shore of Maryland. Two cops were cracking each other up as they stood on duty at the entrance. I couldn’t help but smile. It had been so long since I had heard laughter.
