Publications on Medium That Are Actively Looking for Writers
Bonus: A new publication for new(er) publications to post calls for submissions in!
I’ve found a surprisingly large number of publications of late asking for writers and posting submission guidelines. Since Medium is supposedly moving away from publications and moving towards a “more relational Medium” and with Ev no longer financially backing some of the Medium-owned publications, I would have thought there would have been fewer publications opening up. Not more. I did post a call for submissions this summer. The ones below have been posted since then. Again, I’m surprised.
Please note: just because I have listed them here does not mean that I endorse these publications. Most I do, a few have their big toe on The Line for my liking. That’s why as a writer you must interview the publication as much or more than they tend to interview you. It’s your reputation on the line here so be careful of the company you keep.
