As you can see I have an ususally high response amount. That's the engagement with other readers and writers on here. That's why 2+ years in I'm inching my way up to 2k followers.

You have to grow your follwer count organixally. F4F violates Medium rules and then you hit 100 and what happens? You're still not getting paid because you haven't hit the correct dollar amount to get a payout. Why is that?

The 100 that you do the F4F for only wanted followers. Not readers. And that's where they mess up. I had followers who asked me why I never followed them back. I'd look at their profiles and come back and told them that I'm not into movie reviews, or tech or whatever their genre is.

Why would I want something I'm not going to read populate my feed every day? Also, the alogrithm feeds me even more of it because it thinks that's what I want! It's a lose/lose proposition other than to just do the work and bide your time. Rome wasn't built in a night but I'm sure it felt like it was destroyed in one!
