Thank you for saying this. I thought it was a requirement to begin with. I've seen photos of fluffy kittens or soaring balloons and neither had anything to do with the article. Those I skip by. Why? Because there is SO much to read on Medium I don't have to use my time trying to figure out what the point of someone else's article is!
