That has absolutely nothing to do with Medium, curation, or distribution and everything to do with the algorithm. If you click on a couple of posts with the same theme then the algorithm assumes that's what you're interested in and it feeds you more of the same. I hardly see any of the types of posts you're referring to. Why?
