The number of people who write on Medium and can actually make a living out of it are the "1%ers". The rest of us will never make enough money on here to pay all of our bills unless we're still living at home.

Substack, Vocal, NewsBreak, YouTube, etc. are all ways to make more money and hopefully enough money to leave 9-5 jobs in the dust.

My philosophy is this. Do the work once. Keep getting paid for it forever. I got a notification this morning that someone read a story I wrote in Aug of 2020. Over a year ago. Work once, keep getting paid. If you're going to write the story anyway, post it all over the internet on all of the other blogging sites.
