There is stupid and then there is ignorant. If you aren't taught any better then you are ignorant. Then there is generation ignorance. The last generation didn't know any better and so the current generation doesn't know any better either.

Not everything is taught in a school. A lot of what needs to be learned about the world is/should be taught at home.

My dad taught me how to balance a checkbook at 16 and by 18 I was doing my own taxes. That isn't something I would have ever learned in school.
