They want the support of the writers they add. However, if they add anybody & everybody on as a writer regardless of the quality of output then it becomes a problem. Your feed becomes vlogged with typists who can't be a simple sentence together. Then you have to block or mute all of the caca which is a waste of time. Add to this you've now jacked up your own algo because it's now going to feed you more of the same garbage because it thinks that's what you want to see more of!

It's just not worth it.

Find some pubs that you love. Check out their writers and make sure they are putting out quality pieces, and then ask to be added as a writer. I've left some pubs because I didn't want the "birds of a feather" moniker stuck to me. I work very hard at making sure I put out quality even if it isn't always a subject that people will be happy with (I can be controversial) or like.
