They're full of sh-. They know full well that there are ongoing, months long issues with this platform. Sufficient numbers of people have complained about it via Help Desk tickets all the way up to open letters to Ev Williams and the Medium staff.

When mine numbers dropped this time last year I assumed that it was because of the time of year. Between holidays and holy days, people are busy. Pandemic be damned.

This year there are a substantial number of glitches compared to last year and my numbers have hit the basement. The beginning of each month I write a transparency report which includes multiple screenshots. So you can see for yourself.
