Please Check Your Emotions After the Beep *beep*

A long, long time ago in a land where people still had house phones and answering machines, there was this suburban housewife that had zero patience with nasty ex-wives of husbands. One day, this lovely suburban housewife was over, hearing from her stepdaughter how no one would take the time to spend with her to teach her to drive. It was a lovely day indeed and the stepmother figured, ‘meh what the hell’ and picked up the stepdaughter. After the lessons were completed LSH (lovely suburban housewife) dropped her stepdaughter back at her mother’s house, and she headed home herself.

Walking through the front door LSH noticed that the indicator light was flashing on the answering machine. Now, this was in ancient times when not only did answering machines exist, they had not one but two tapes. One for the outgoing message and one for the incoming messages.

Don’t get ahead of me here people of a certain age. I’m sure you can already see where this is headed.

It was my betrothed’s ex-wife. Ranting, raving, screaming, yelling. After some time of pacing and calm thinking, okay so I was yelling out loud to no one. Same thing. Then…
