This is going to piss a lot of people off but anyone who knows me...

If you can't get paid beacuse of location restrictions, too bad, you shouldn't be allowed to write here. I'm over all of the whining and complaining and crying and demanding that Medium pay them. If you signed up knowing you're not going to get paid then that's on you. If you found out after you signed up then it's still on you. You shouldn't have clicked Next repeatedly just to get to the end of the sign up process without reading what you were agreeing to.
