This plays right into something I commented on this A.M. Some kid had the balls to state that it was "the duty of all editors" to leave an encouraging note when they publish.

Spoken like someone who has never been an editor a day in his life let alone on Medium. I "work" as a FT FREE editor and get attitude but you want to know what I don't get?

Money from writing. Why? Because I'm not writing. Why? Because I'm too busy editing for ungrateful children who need a gold star and a warm cookie for doing their job.

This is all the incentive I need to hit the brakes as an editor and pump the gas as a writer!
