This reminds me of the conversations that I have with people about the TV show Lucifer. I love that show. I've asked people in the past if they've watched it and they cringe in horror with the "as if" look on their face.

They calm down when I explain to them that the premise of the show is about redemption and isn't that what Christianity is supposed to be about? They soften ever so slightly but still turn their noses up like they smell something bad.
