This “writer” has followed over 10k people on Medium in order to garner an inflated number of followers. These are the kinds of people I’d like to see given the boot from the MPP.
As for me, I block people like this. They’re not writers. It’s their feeble attempt to become “influencers”. It pollutes the platform and makes it hard for Algo to do his job correctly. It also makes it harder for legitimate writers to be found.
I turn people like this in all the time to the Help Desk. I never hear back about whether or not they’ve been *dinged* in any kind of way for violating Medium Rules. I get the standard ‘we’re looking into it’ email and that’s it.
As long as people can get away with it they will. JMHO
