Don’t try this at home kids.

I woke up at 1230 am with my usual routine. Bathroom and then park over by the library. I park on the side where the library is on one side and a river is on the other. In the middle of the night, it is dead quiet. Perfect for someone who is anti-social such as myself. I turn the heat on low, crack the window, grab my laptop, and get caught up on what was going on while I had the nerve to be asleep.

Since I’m on a dark side street I do tend to look up when I hear a car coming from behind me. I want to see just how fast they’re coming and by how much are they juuuuust going to miss me. Sometimes I’m surprised that I still have paint left on that side of the car. Tonight was a wee bit different though.

I looked up at one point and saw this car coming. He was too close for my comfort so I watched and waited. He practically blew through the stop sign in front of me and proceeded to go up a one-way street in the wrong direction AND sideways. If I’m lying I’m flying. It was like when you see someone hit black ice and start to slide. Like that but without the black ice.

I went back to what I was doing and tried to shake it out of my head. A few minutes later, from behind me again, a car was…
