Kings especially were prolific reproducers. It was nothing for some royals to have 13 kids +/-. Then there’s the intermarrying and flat out incest all in an effort to produce a legitimate heir to the throne. My family tree looks like a paper road that got left out in the rain. It’s so tangled and twisted that I don’t know WHAT to do with it at this point!

I thought my tree would all be farmers and/or blue-collar workers. Man was I wrong — murdered, murders, royals, nobles, politicians from long ago. Native Americans, immigrants from all over Europe, hell I even had two relatives on the Lusitania when it was torpedoed by the Germans!

And don’t get me started on the Salem witch trials!
