This platform needs more artists such as Chas Wyatt
Allow me to introduce you to Chas Wyatt. By his own admission, he has been on Medium since 2017. He not only writes but you see that image of him on the left? The little square. Self-portrait. See the image featured in his pinned article? He painted that. And he draws. Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Marylhurst College in Oregon.
Chas is talking about leaving the platform. He said that after three years he has just never gained any traction here. He has 816 followers of which I am now one. Surely Medium needs more artists and not more listicles and how-to and here’s how to make X money in X days.
I think Chas just hasn’t found his tribe yet and I think we can help!
Those weathered eyes, that stoic expression; what do they reveal about me? I looked stoic up in the dictionary and it said n. a person who suffers hardship without showing his or her feelings. It seems to fit that portrait and oft times it does fit me, although I also have a lighter side. Life hasn’t been a bed of roses for me, but, there are many that have fared worse in what life shelled out, toiling endlessly, as day became night.
