Yeah, I hear ya but… in my own case if I’m pulling my stuff from your pub the odds of me ever coming back are less than zero so I’m not sweating it.

When I first arrived on Medium I self-published because I was still trying to figure out the lay of the land. Then I got into pubs. I’d try one and if it wasn’t a good fit (typically this means that I had learned that the pub would give me a bad reputation because of the lack of quality) then I had nothing to lose.

I’ve been in and out of several publications on here trying to find what works for me. At this point, I’ve come full circle and self-publish at least 99% of my work.
