Yeah, some version of it will always be with us because we're too good at being complacent. It wasn't long after 9/11 that people were complaining about TSA and long lines, like nothing had ever happened.
I went through the whole COVID vs allergy thing last year. I had a 2 foot long q-tip shoved up my nose 4x because of it. Negative every single time. I don't understand their thought process. I wasn't going anywhere. Didn't hang around anyone other than the medical community for various appts, yet if I sneezed their go to was test me for COVID.
We live in a strange world indeed.
